HOLY COW! It might be....It could be......Holy Cow, Oliver is wearing mommy's sunglasses!
Aunt Christy needed some things from the local scrapbook store. My mom thought it would be funny if Oliver sat in the cart. Not exactly safe, but she kept him in there long enough for a picture.
They both wandered away for quite some time. We thought they left us there! After searching through the aisles, we heard them giggling in the children's play house. Oliver had placed stickers all over Grammy's face and his legs. They were having a blast!

Labor Day at Great Grandpa's House!
My Grandpa lives in a retirement community where everyone's mode of transportation around the community is a golf cart. My grandpa is fortunate enough to own a bike too! (For the record, they do drive cars when they go out.) Christy and I had a lot of fun parading around the neighborhood like two teenagers who don't have a driver's license. My grandpa drove us (in the golf cart) to watch the hot air balloons take off. This is part of a festival that takes place near my grandpa's home.
I am wearing my Grandpa's hat that was on the back seat of his car. He drove us to the entrance of the festival so we wouldn't have to pay the outrageous parking fees. He even picked us up when we called!
Every year we all get together and watch the fireworks! Here is the entire family snacking on popcorn waiting for the show!
We had the perfect view of the fireworks from their driveway. What is usually a quiet peaceful retirement community became the hopping place to be. Driveways were full of children and grandchildren cheering at the awesome display of lights.

Jen's wedding
I have known my friend Jen since first grade. We lived down the street from each other and spent almost everyday together growing up. At our 10 year high school reunion she asked me to be a part of her wedding. I was so honored! Here are some pictures (quite a few, but how could I resist???) of the beautiful day. This is Jen and her new husband Ken! This is all of the beautiful bridesmaids and a few groomsmen! We couldn't have been blessed with a more beautiful day.
Oliver is all ready to party!

Jen is getting her hair done.
This is a picture of my funky hairdo. It looked like a bow tie. How many opportunities do you have to have a fun updo??? I thought I would go with it!Jennifer with her family. Her sister, Julie, was the maid of honor.
Larry with Christy and Heather (her date) haha. Christy's date had to back out last minute due to a prior commitment. So, Christy decided to bring her friend Heather. It was really fun because Heather grew up with Jen, Julie, Christy and I. We were like one big happy family as kids.
Papa and Oliver. Doesn't Oliver look like a little man sitting there?
Jen's beautiful dress.

Visiting with Grammy
We traveled for a wedding over Labor Day weekend. Here are some pictures of our time around town. We surprised both my mom and Larry's mom at work. Fortunately, my mom happened to have her camera in her purse at work. Oliver taking a cat nap in Grammy's lap. We came home just as he had fallen asleep. I think if we had given my mom a few more minutes she would have been snoozing too!
