We also visited Mount Vernon. The night before we had a huge storm come through. We spend a few minutes in the basement because of all the warnings. Mount Vernon was hit very hard and lost their electricity! There were tree crews cleaning up all of the downed limbs and trees!

Oliver still loves to be carried in the Bjorn. It was such a relief when he actually sat in the stroller though. It was SOOO hot. I think the Bjorn and him added another 10 degrees to my own body heat. whew!

We took a guided boat cruise that took us up the Potomac River and back. It felt so good to get out of the heat. We were so happy that they had water and snackies! 
In between the window panes was a mirror. Oliver found it and thought it was the greatest. Larry was being silly and put his hat on backwards. For the record, he normally doesn't wear it like this! haha
