1st day at Grammy and Papa's

Oliver and I are visiting Grammy and Papa for two whole exciting weeks!!! We flew in yesterday just in time for my dad's company picnic at the local ballpark. We ate an exciting dinner of hot dogs, sausages, popcorn and lots of cookies. We had perfect seats in the picnic area in the right field area. Oliver was able to heckle the visiting team while shouting loudly. Larry took him to a ball game a few weeks ago and apparently taught him how to cheer. It was hilarious! Good one dad!

We started off our first day with a homemade breakfast from Grammy. Eggos and grapes! Breakfast of champions!Aunt Christy just got a brand new puppy! She is a little Yorkie named Callie. She is 9 weeks old and is such a cute little dog! Oliver and I surprised her with this beautiful sweater. Oliver loved playing with Callie. He thinks he is such a big boy when he gives her the bone. The bone is so small that Sophie could swallow it whole. Callie may be a little snack for her too! haha We went to mass with Larry's mom and John followed by a yummy breakfast! Oliver wore Grandma out while we were waiting by running around the restaurant in circles. Aunt Christy holding Callie, Grammy and Oliver before our family reunion.
Papa is getting the coals ready for some of his fabulous cooking! He made 40 chickens and 30 pounds of sausage. That is a lot of food!!

My chicken needed just a little more BBQ sauce on it. Might as well get it straight from the pot.

Christy and I were patiently waiting for the food to be ready. You can see the men in the background preparing the chicken.

Grub time...aka Cake time. Who needs dinner food when there is cake and cupcakes?

I've got a pickle, I've got a pickle, I've got a pickle, hey hey hey hey.
Oliver used his green thumb to help Papa pick the pickles that were ready!

Jed, Christy and Oliver. Jed was unable to make it to the family reunion so Christy made him a doggie bag. I think he enjoyed dad's cooking!

Papa and Oliver are ending the night with some snuggle time.
