4 months

Oliver's 4 month picture. It is getting harder to take pictures of him. Instead of sitting still, he likes to move around.

We love Ronald!!

Oliver and Ryan sitting with Ronald McDonald. Amanda and Mindy decided to take the boys to McDonald's so that Ryan could play in the huge play area. (Maybe the mom's just needed time out of the house.) The statue of Ronald was just too easy to pass up with the camera.

Super Bowl Sunday

Although it is Super Bowl Sunday and we should be rooting for a NFL team, Larry and Oliver are decked out in their favorite college team gear. Boiler Up!!

Oliver loves to take naps in his swing. Thanks Uncle Putt and Aunt Julie for such a wonderful gift! We use it everyday. Often times he is so tired when we put him in there that he cries very loudly. Larry refers to it as the "screaming swing."

I can roll over

Oliver rolled over today! I put Oliver on a blanket on the floor while I went into the kitchen to open something. As I was walking over toward him, I caught the last half of his head finishing the roll. I yelled for Larry to hurry, but it was too late. We both missed his first milestone. So...we put him back on his stomach, got the video camera and watched him roll over and then we repeated the process numerous times until Oliver got tired of doing it. We just can't believe that he actually did it. I wasn't expecting it this soon at all!

New Year's Celebration!!

Oliver's first New Year was so much fun. We celebrated it at Steve, Amanda and Ryan's house. He stayed up way past his bedtime........















But just couldn't make it until midnight!

Christy family picture time

Every year Mindy's family takes a family picture. My how the family has grown. You can see Caleb in the bottom row holding the famous "dial-a-plate." It seemed as if every year we all lined up for pictures and someone had to make the plate with the year on it. So, Larry welcomed himself into the family with the dial-a-plate. You can rotate the last digit in the year. What a genius. Props to Aunt Lori for remembering where she puts it every year. Just glad I am not responsible for keeping it.

SANTA!!!!!!

It sure looks like they were good. Santa wraps each person's presents in a different colored wrapping paper. By the looks of things, it appears that Santa is not wasting any time spoiling Oliver!

Picture People

We took Oliver to the Picture People to have his pictures taken. Perfect timing for Christmas presents. Won't the grandma's be so excited! This is Mindy's favorite picture of him.

Annual Christmas Dinner

Every year all of our friends get together for a big Christmas dinner. This year Amanda and Steve hosted it. We are going to need a wide lens by the time all of our kids go to college.

Helicopter Santa

Larry's work hosts a children's Christmas party every year. All of the children eat pizza and cookies and run back and forth on yards of loud bubble wrap. The highlight of the day...santa flies in on a helicopter! All of the kids get an opportunity to sit on santa's lap and they even receive a present to unwrap.

2 months

Oliver is two months old today! Look how much he has changed from his one month picture. Wait until month three!

Christmas tree hunting

Larry is cutting down our Christmas tree. We walked all over the tree farm with our friends in search of the perfect one and finally found it.









Mindy and Oliver all bundled up. Oliver is dressed up in his snow suit, except there is no snow. It was really cold though! The baby Bjorn is wonderful to carry him in. Mindy has two free hands to work with.

Thanksgiving

should I finish? Who ever would have thought the Hoosiers would pull through and beat Purdue! Mommy was so happy! Daddy wasn't. Neither was Bob, Kim, Steve and Amanda...


Oliver is so excited that Indiana is going to a bowl game this year. Better yet, he is excited that they beat Purdue! Okay, maybe Mindy is excited, but lucky for him...Aunt Christy bought him this awesome onesie! Uncle Kevin...we might need a Purdue one soon!

Larry always says Boiler up. Mindy thinks it should be Hoosier Up!!

Mindy sent this email to all of her friends who wanted Purdue to win. Larry decided to modify it with his computer and redistribute the email. What was he thinking? Smarty pants!

1 month already

This is Oliver at one month. We hope to take a picture like this every month to see how much he changes over the year. I think we will be surprised!

Halloween!

Mindy, Oliver, Ryan, and Steve trick-or-treating. They were both pumpkins!

Baby's first Boo! Oliver doesn't care much for hats, but he was a trooper and wore this for a few pictures.

This year Oliver had two Halloween costumes. He was a pumpkin and a monkey. He looked adorable in both of them!!

Pumpkin Carving Contest

Every year Mindy's family has a pumpkin carving contest. Everyone creates a pumpkin (carved or decorated) and then grandpa votes for the best one. This year we dressed Oliver in his Halloween costume (which just happened to be a pumpkin). Unfortunately grandpa didn't know that he was part of the contest. We all think he should have won! Congratulations to Nick. His hamburger pumpkin won. Maybe next year Oliver will get the trophy!
