HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

Oliver celebrated the day with a visit to the doctor's office! He wasn't feeling well yesterday and the congestion moved into his chest today. He spent the day coughing and the doctor prescribed an antibiotic! His first antibiotic! He was a pretty good sport all day and managed to wear this super-cool hat for some pictures and the entire time I ate my dinner. Corned beef and cabbage! Mmmmm!

His shirt got stuck while I was trying to take it off. He seemed to think it was funny so I stopped to take a picture. Silly Ollie, or should I say...silly mommy!

He loves bath time!

He was babbling so much in the bath tonight. This picture captures it completely. His tongue just happens to be up toward the roof of his mouth when I snapped it.

5 mo picture..finally!

Oliver at 5 months! I can't believe he is this old already! He is growing so fast. So far he has found his little feet and loves to put them in his mouth! He has started eating solid foods and is babbling a lot. His personality is developing and we can't wait to watch him grow more!

Prunes!! Mmmm!

Oliver ate prunes today for the first time! He absolutely LOVED them. I couldn't get them in fast enough. I hope it is going to help with his "going" problem! I think they out rank the peaches by far. I believe I have figured out why he hasn't been sleeping so well. Today he woke up sick. I could hear it in his cry in the middle of the night. He is really congested and has a runny nose and a cough. So I gave him some medicine and hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.

Oliver finally figured out that he can twist in his jumper. He is now in love with the sun that spins around. He can grab onto it....and it was there the entire time.

Well, Oliver is now fast asleep but after last night, I hope that this night goes better! He was up from 1:30-3:30 wide awake. He finally fell asleep back in his crib and then woke up again at 5:30. He had absolutely no intentions of sleeping or eating. We watched Sesame Street for an hour. I had no clue it was even on that early. Are kids really awake then? I feel bad for their parents!! I put him in his swing around 6:30 and he miraculously slept until 9:30. I hope he isn't turning into a night owl! We spent most of the afternoon at Kim and Bob's house. Kim and I went grocery store and then we made cookies and had dinner together! Thanks guys...the meatloaf was awesome. Definitely going to have to steal that recipe!

Oliver loves to touch Sophie. I think Sophie is depressed that daddy is gone. I am in the basement now and I can hear her whining because she wants to come down here.

Stella is up!! & Happy Birthday Bob!!

What a wonderful relaxing day! The weather was B-E-AUTIFUL! We had the windows and doors open all day. I even slept with a bedroom window open last night! Oliver had a rough night last night. He woke up at 3:30 and wasn't interested in sleeping or eating! ugh. Finally he fell asleep though. :) We got up this morning, went to the store and then spent most of the day outside! It was wonderful!!!!

Here is Stella the stork all polished and ready for Maya's homecoming. Larry brought her out of the basement before he left so that she could get a fresh coat of PINK paint! She has never worn pink before. I think it is a good look for her. This is her 4th time out in the neighborhood. Who is next???
Oliver sat in the car with the door open while I put the name and information on Stella today. We knew the baby was coming home today so after we got home from the hospital last night, Dave drove his truck down and put her in the back and together with Bob, they zip-tied her to their front porch.




Oliver just hanging out and smiling as usual. I found a Sudoku puzzle in the newspaper today and gave it a try. It has been so long since my brain has been stimulated. I am going to have a headache tonight! hahaha Apparently he thought it was fun too!

Sophie enjoyed the puzzle as well. She is always under my feet or as close to them as possible. I think she misses the rough tug of war that she plays with daddy.

While I was taking these pictures he must have rolled over and over 10 times. Finally he stopped on his back so that I could get a picture. So many of the pictures are blurry from him moving so much.

Maya is here!!!!

We welcome into the world Maya Elizabeth!!! She arrived at 8:52 weighing in at 7 pounds 5 ounces. She was 20 inches long! She is the cutest thing! We visited them for an hour and a half and she only made a little peep! Amanda is doing so well. You never would have guessed that she just gave birth. We knocked on her door at the hospital she she yelled, "Come in...welcome to the party!" She is so upbeat and is going to continue to be an awesome mother!

Oliver all ready and happy to go see his new girlfriend. I told Amanda and Steve that we are going to be inlaws one day. They are never going to get rid of us!

Oliver sat on the couch today for an hour just playing around. He laughed, giggled, and smiled the entire time. Then we went for a walk! The weather was so great!

Amanda and Steve called at 3:3o this morning. I scooped up Oliver and went to their house to stay with Ryan. We woke up early and went to the play gym to burn some energy. Then we went shopping and ate at Chick-fil-A! Ryan loves the tunnels! Here are the boys after a 10 minute trip from Chick-fil-A to home. I took them into the house and they both slept for another hour or two. Lucky me, I was able to catch some shut eye as well!

Well, we are over half way through with daddy being gone! We can't wait until Easter Eve! (Only 240 hours left if you are counting!) We woke up very happy today and played a lot this morning. Then we went shopping to do some returns, went for a walk, ate dinner and is now fast asleep in bed!
After Oliver ate his dinner, he sat and watched me eat mine!

He is like an octopus now. He grabs for everything. Sometimes I think that he has 8 hands. Here he is reaching for the camera. I'm gonna get you!!!

Attempting to take his 5 month picture. He sits up by himself now and it is hard to get him to sit up straigt and to sit still. I think this is the best one. I guess I will have to try again tomorrow.

Oliver is having his daily talk with Grandma. Most of the time she talks to him and he eats the phone.

Oliver loves his Sophie! Sophie loves her Oliver. She will allow any type of love that he will give to her. I wonder if Sophie knows what she is in for as he starts to become mobile.

Today I went to work and Oliver went to my friend Heather's house. She is going to watch him for the next couple of weeks on Tuesday's while I work. They had a great time. Heather said that he was a very good boy. I wonder if Oliver gave her baby fever??? She may want another one now! We are so fortunate to have such wonderful neighbors that take such good care of us!!!!!

Amanda was feeling some discomfort during dinner so they decided to head to the hospital to see if it was time to have a baby! We can't wait to meet this new little girl! She is going to be a princess! Kim is watching Ryan for the night and is going to take him to work with her tomorrow. Kim is a nanny and watches two darling kids. Ryan and them are good buds! I can't wait to hear any news from them.

He found his feet and can finally get them into his mouth all by himself. He entertains himself for a long time with this new trick! No toys needed!

Steve picked up Oliver from Heather's tonight so that Ryan could play with him. When I got home from work I went to their house for Bob's birthday dinner and Steve was sitting with Oliver on the couch. Steve said he was doing so well. When he saw me he started to moan and make noises and began to cry. I guess he misses his mommy. It makes me so happy that he recognizes me!

We watched Ryan this morning while very pregnant Amanda (she is due within the week) went for some pampering. He is so much fun to have. We went shopping and then met up with Heather. She is a neighbor who is going to watch Oliver on Tuesday's while Amanda takes time off to spend with her new baby! She is going to take Oliver back once she gets the swing of things with 2 children.

I asked Ryan to go sit BY Oliver so that I could take their picture. Apparently he thought I said ON Oliver. I was laughing so hard, I couldn't believe it. Oliver was grabbing at Ryan's sweatshirt hood just because it was within reach and Ryan jumped off Oliver and nicely said "don't pull my sweatshirt" followed by a super nice "please". My stomach hurt from laughing. They are just like brothers!

Oliver cannot take his eyes off Ryan or Sophie. He loves to watch both of them all the time!

I checked on Oliver before I went to bed last night and found him comfortably sleeping like this. I moved his leg in and he didn't even stir. I guess I need to go buy the breathable bumper at Babies R Us. It keeps their limbs in but allows them to breath if they get caught up against it and can't pull themselves away. I had to take the bumper off that matches the crib set because it is not recommended for the same reason that they could suffocate.
